Bristol Eastern-Northwest Catholic football scrimmage

Bristol Eastern, once again under the leadership of coach Paul Philippon, took on CCC foe Northwest Catholic on Friday night in a scrimmage at Bristol Eastern High School.
Philippon returns to Eastern after three seasons at Canton High School.
The Lancers struggled to move the ball on offense against the Indians in front of a sizable crowd at the multi-purpose field on the hill. Under center for Eastern was senior Alex Hunter, who takes over for the graduated Tommy Curtin. Hunter also shared punting duties with Josh Sampson.
On defense, the Lancers did struggle at times against the pass, though Darieyn Tate had a great interception in the end zone.
Northwest Catholic is coached by Brett Quinion, who is in his first season at the helm. Quinion was the long-time coach at Avon.
